Technical Requirements for Business Analysis
Understanding what you need before we start working together
Here's something most consultants won't tell you upfront — not every business setup works well with every analysis approach. We've learned this after working with dozens of companies across Taiwan's manufacturing and service sectors. Some clients come to us with everything ready to go, while others need a bit of preparation first. Both scenarios are completely fine, but knowing where you stand saves everyone time and sets realistic expectations from day one.
Data Access Requirements
- Financial records from at least two complete fiscal years (Excel, QuickBooks, or similar formats work)
- Sales transaction data with timestamps and customer identifiers
- Operating expense breakdowns by department or category
- Employee headcount and compensation structure documentation
- Supply chain or vendor payment histories if applicable
- Any existing business intelligence reports you currently use
Software Environment
- Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge from 2024 onwards)
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer for report viewing
- PDF reader for detailed documentation
- Stable internet connection for cloud-based collaboration tools
- Optional: Tableau or Power BI if you want interactive dashboards
System Integration Capabilities
We work with whatever accounting or ERP system you're currently using. Most of our Taiwan-based clients run on local platforms, and we've built data bridges for nearly all of them. The key is having export functionality — if you can generate CSV or Excel files from your system, we can work with it.
Our analysis framework connects with these platforms without requiring you to change your existing workflows. We pull data, analyze it on our end, and deliver insights back to you in formats that integrate smoothly with what you already use daily.
